Meredith Salenger has been a famous actress throughout the years. Born in Malibu California, United States on 14th March 1970. Decker's parents relocated to Louisiana during the 90s. Decker won a regional talent competition with a rendition of Patsy Montana's I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart at the age of barely nine. At the age of 15, Decker lived in Georgia. Decker had begun writing songs and making frequent trips to Nashville in search of an agreement with a record label. The songs she wrote were released to record companies as well as other artists by an agent from Big Yellow Dog Records agent at the age of 17. Decker agreed to sign a contract in 2009 with Island/Def Jam after Mercury Records President David Massey passed her demos to L.A. Reid, head of Island/Def Jam. Jessie James, her moniker for her album that she dropped with that title on August 9, 2009 was self-titled. Jessie James enjoyed a modest number of hits and Wanted could make it to the Top 40 on the Singles Charts. Decker has always been a country artist, however the album made and promoted it with pop audiences in mind. Decker fought with the label to gain greater control over her music following two previous singles failed. Her next release, Boys in the Summer was a more traditional album. Decker's second album, announced in the form of Daughter of a Gypsy and Sweet American Dreams by Mercury Records, was canceled after Mercury saw the poor results of three of the singles on country radio charts.
